as september 11th gets closer, most citizens recall where they were the moments they found out about the tragic events that occured that day. while it is very important to remember the past, the fact is, we cannot change it. so we should also look towards the future and strive to make positive changes in the community and in the world to pay tribute to those who lost their lives or continue to fight for our freedom.
so in their honor, take some time on september 11th (and any other day) thinking about the events that occured on that day 11 years ago and the impact it has had on an entire country; thanking those who selflessly continue to protect us and our freedom- police, military, firefighters, etc.; and leaving your own positive mark in the world- plant a tree, help someone in need, donate to a needy cause, pick up trash around the neighborhood, etc. make a difference. make things better.
